Four Feed

Project Summary

Four glasses are wearable technology that utilizes pupil tracking and object recognition to allow businesses/users to record, view, and analyze recordings based on the pupil’s focus, not just what the camera is picking up in its viewport. This novel feature provides users with more specific data about what they are looking at.

Working with Four was an enriching experience which allowed me to work alongside UX designers, developers, and project managers to iterate on beta designs for the mobile app that accompanies the glasses.

This is currently in development, check out my UI Design contributions below and check out the website to enroll in the beta.

Four Feed Mobile App

The mobile app is currently in development. The design preview below is subject to change.

What is the problem?

The main problem we are looking to solve is to create a seamless bridge between the hardware and software experience of using Four. Guiding the users through a step-by-step process and branding the UI consistently were at the top of mind during design.

Solutions

Working with wireframes designed by the UX Designer, I proceeded with designing an MVP design system and created the corresponding screens from onboarding to data analysis. Design decisions were made with accessibility in mind with WCAG compliance for vision-impaired users.

Challenges / What did I learn?

Working with wireframes that were designed before I was brought onboard to this project added a challenging layer. It required me to practice interpreting and understanding what another designer had worked on without being there at the inception. Ultimately this proved not to be an issue and I was able to successfully design high-fidelity screens based off of them.

Vy is an excellent design professional. He is very well versed with widely used industry UI and UX standards, but he also goes beyond that and does further research on how to push the envelope for his projects. The level of his commitment to push things out before deadline is very impressive.
